Test your connection speed automatically on a schedule with the Automatic Speed Test. TiP (Test in Progress) Measurements. TestMy.net has a high resolution download test. Unlike other speed tests TestMy.net takes measurements during the test to show you the path of your download speed over the course of the test. It conducts tests within the test.

Internet speed tests like the one on this page can provide a great estimate as to how fast your Telstra NBN, cable, or ADSL connection is. Before starting your speed test, try to restart your modem and router, pause all internet use, restart your computer, and clear your web browser’s cache to maximise the accuracy of the test. Actual speeds may vary, including due to your location/equipment/ software, data source, and internet traffic. Speeds may be slower when your devices are connected by Wi-Fi rather than Ethernet cable or if you’re a Telstra Air member and you’re using your home broadband service at the same time as a hotspot user. The Telstra Speedtest is powered by Ookla, so the same platform as Speedtest.net, it just uses set servers to test. Selecting different servers will give you different results. Other platforms will test in different ways, which again will cause variations. Average "busy period" download speed: 92.46Mbps Telstra says its testing shows that customers on these plans experience an average of 92.46Mbps during peak hours (7pm-11pm). Once again, those are just about the fastest Premium NBN speeds around, although note that plans from Aussie Broadband in this category are not far behind. Xenophon asks why Telstra not facing queries over 5G gear source. Former Independent senator Nick Xenophon has put the cat among the pigeons, pointing out that while Chinese vendor Huawei has been banned from supplying gear to the 5G networks, Telstra, which gets its 5G gear from a joint-venture arrangement between Ericsson and Panda Electronics, faces no such strictures.

I've just set up a new PC, and I'm downloading a few apps and games from Steam/Epic/Uplay etc. If I don't have anything downloading, we get a speed test of 40-55mbps. If I download from any one program, the download is 3-5Mbps, and it slows the entire household down to make even our Coles ordering timeout.
